What We Are Looking For:

 Thanks for your interest in Risen. First of all, to answer your question: Yes, we are recruiting. We’re looking for people who enjoy playing the game and who are not only looking to raid, but participate in other aspects of the game as well. In each new applicant we look for a few common factors that, we believe, are benchmark characteristics in every solid player.

   Applicants must share our common goal. We are not just a guild about defeating the most difficult encounters in the game. We are about making the game fun for each and every member. We work as a team to reach our goals, with the belief that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. When we raid we are working as one well oiled machine, rather than a bunch of people working for there own benefit. If your primary focus in the high-end game is to acquire loot, than we are not the right guild for you. We consider loot to be a byproduct of our goals, which is to progress as a guild, experience “the end game” and have fun while we are doing it. We are looking for players who want to better their gaming experience with a close-knit group of friends.


Checklist Before Applying

A Risen  member should meet the following requirements. You must be...

    • Able to make Sunday-Thursday raids, 5pm - 8pm server time.

    • Very proficient and knowledgeable with your class, as well as WoW in general.

    • A "min-max" type of player who is willing to go the extra mile for even the slightest advantage.

    • Experienced in end-game PvE raiding and comfortable in highly competitive environments.

    • Experienced with TBC raiding. Some Sunwell experience is desirable.

    • Fully Prepared for each and every raid. This means Outside of the instance, repaired, and equipped with proper food, potions, elixirs, flasks, and reagents.

    • Able and willing to motivate yourself to learn and master the latest and most challenging encounters.

    • Willing to respect and adhere to the guild's rules, policies and methods, as well as our officers' requests.

    • Able to take even constructive criticism with stride and learn to improve from it.

    • A team player. A guild-first attitude is important. Lootwhores, troublemakers, dramallamas and whiners need not apply.

    • A very sociable person with a good sense of humor who is fun to play with and easy to work with.

    • Someone who is active and genuinely enjoys WoW as a whole. 'Raid-Loggers' need not apply.

    • Who can be respectful and act their age and still be able to have fun and be laid back. We do not tolerate drama whatsoever, so drama is not an option. We are a very

       friendly and laid back group.

    • While gear is not the deciding factor, your armory reflects the pride you take and the effort you put in to your character. Applications and the armory reflect what work

       you put into having the proper itemization, gemming and enchanting in your gear. With the expansion close by, gear will no longer have the same importance but it

       will still reflect the amount of effort you put into BC.

    • People who can raid steady preferably 4-5 nights a week but 3 is ok.

    • Determination: This is important. We aren't here to farm content we've done a thousand times just to quit when we wipe learning a new

     encounter. We spend hours upon hours to learn new encounters until we beat them. If this is something you do not wish to be a part of,  

     please look elsewhere. We have worked hard to get where we are - there are no free rides.   

    • Making friends in the guild is a big plus. By being a part of Risen, you are expected to be there for those around you to rely on, and to trust and be able to rely on

       those around you as well.

With the Expansion:

    • We are looking for eager and enthusiastic people who wish to tackle end game content soon and reach level 80 by end of December if not sooner.

    • We are looking for people who are willing to put in their effort and work as a team to reach the Guild's goals.


* Even if your class is listed as closed, we encourage you to submit an application anyways. While recruitment for your class might be closed right now, an opening could become available at any time. We will save your application and contact you when we are recruiting for your class again. When we save your application it may be moved to a hidden part of our forums and will not be visible, do not worry it is not deleted.
